October 2011 Monthly Wrap-Up

 

Musical goal: whatever I want

Technical goal: don't have crappy mixes

 

This was a whatever month — whatever I wanted to make, I did!

 

Week #40: I wanted to do something dense, dark, and filmic. Happy with the way this turned out. Unrelenting.

 

Week #41: I listened to a lot of Philip Glass this week, and somehow — especially in the final 15 seconds — this feels of a piece.

 

Week #42: They played Deltron 3030, and then Handsome Boy Modeling School, at the restaurant. Dan The Automator was goddamn brilliant. Where did you go, Dan? I like the jumpy rhodes figure in this one; I played it by hand...

 

Week #43: After listening to a bunch of random Squarepusher, I needed to leave the grid behind.
